The Belchers – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

Tina was another client that came through the gift sessions from a local dentist. I had a great time working with her and her husband, Dietrich, in the West End. Since I am no longer shooting weddings, I don’t get as many chances to do portrait sessions for couples so it was a lot of fun for me to bring back my poses from engagement sessions and wedding for their portrait session. Thanks so much, Tina and Dietrich, for allowing me to take your Christmas portraits this year!

Greene Family – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

I met the Greene family through a local dentist that I know. He purchased mini sessions for the ladies that work in his office for Christmas and Bo was one of them. I thought that was such a wonderful gift idea and I loved meeting the different families through the sessions. I had a great time working with Bo and her whole family, including her sweet dog, at the Rock Quarry garden. Full family sessions are a lot of fun because I get the opportunity to do so many different combinations of people for the shots and be really creative with the group shots. It reminds me of my days of working with wedding parties when I organize the group shots. Thanks so much, Greene family for letting me take your first full family session as a family with grown children and grandkids!

The Hurray Brothers – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

As I mentioned in my last post, I reached out to a group of adoptive mamas on facebook about my Christmas portrait sessions and I was thrilled to be able to work with a few of the families. The Hurray boys are brothers through adoption and it is so sweet to see their special bond. I loved working with the boys and seeing how much they love each other. I think these boys are going to grow up to be best buds. Thank you, Hurray brothers for being such good models and for allowing me to take your Christmas pictures!

Ferguson Family – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

I love being part of the special adoption community as an adoptive family because I get to meet other adoptive families, like the Fergusons. Jessica and I “met” through a private facebook group and when I reached out to the group about my Christmas mini sessions she contacted me to take her family’s portraits. I love meeting other families that look like mine and who just understand the complexities of adoption. I had a great time working with the Fergusons and their precious kids. Thanks so much for allowing me to capture your Christmas memories this year!

Phillips Family – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

I know I say this all the time, but I truly do love it when I get to do family sessions for my past wedding clients. I was so excited when Jessica emailed me about taking pictures of her, Ray and their little boy Thomas. I shot their wedding a few years ago and I was honored to be able to meet their son and take their family portraits. We just barely made it with their pictures before the rain started but thankfully it held out until I got in my car after shooting. It was so great to be able to catch up with Jessica and Ray and meet precious Thomas! Thanks so much, Phillips family for allowing me to be a part of your wedding and to now be able to capture your memories as a family of 3!

The “A” Family – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is enjoying the first day of 2016! I still have a few more Christmas sessions to share with you.

I was so thrilled to be able to work with the “A” family again. I had the honor of taking portraits of both Martin and Henry over the years, as well as shooting Blakely’s sister’s wedding several years ago. It was so much fun to see them again and see how big the boys are getting. We took their family portraits at Blakely’s dad’s farm, which is such a gorgeous location. I love being able to go to the farm for pictures because it is picturesque, especially in the fall. Thanks so much, “A” family, for letting me capture so many family memories over the years. I am so thankful to have clients like you and being able to watch your family grow and change as the years go by.

The Goldsmith Family – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their families! Now that Christmas is over, I have a lot of family sessions to share. I was waiting to post most of them since they were being used for cards/gifts but now I am excited to be able to share these fun family sessions with you. I had such a great time doing so many sessions between October and November and I cannot wait to share them all with you.

First up, the Goldsmith family, who are friends of mine from church. You may recognize them from the Thompson family portraits. Jen asked me if I would do 2 sessions for her, the full family session as well as her immediate family, and I was thrilled to be able to do both sessions. I took the Goldsmith’s portraits in the Rock Quarry and I had a great time working with them and laughing at little Gus. He was being so silly and gave the best smiles when we all laughed at him. Thanks Goldsmiths for letting me capture 2 different family memories this year for you!

“R” Family Portraits – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

I had such a great time working with the “R” family for their portraits but I think Ellie had even more fun than me. I think they have a little model on their hands with her, she absolutely loved taking pictures and even asked me at church yesterday if I had my camera with me. I absolutely loved working with a little one who was so excited about pictures! We headed to the West End for the portrait session, which is always one of my favorite spots for pictures. Ellie and Jackson really got into the pictures and had me laughing the whole time, especially when they danced for me! Thanks so much Brian and Shayla for letting me enjoy a fun mini session with you and capture your family memories this year!

The Sarratt Family Portraits – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

I had so much fun working with the Sarratt family for their portraits. They are good friends of mine and I am so excited for their growing family. I cannot wait to meet their sweet baby boy in just over a month! We braved the cold last Saturday morning at the Rock Quarry for their portraits and it was worth it because the lighting was amazing! It was so fun to be able to do a family/maternity session with them because it seems like just yesterday that we were doing the same thing as they were preparing for Miss Ellie’s arrival and now she is going to be a big sister. I love being able to capture these special times in my friends’ lives, that is such a huge benefit of this business. Thanks Craig and Ashley for letting me be a part of your memories as you wait for your new baby boy!

Thompson Family Portraits – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

This Christmas season has been so much fun working with so many different families. I have met so many new people and also had the wonderful privilege of meeting some of my friends’ extended families. I have been so honored to have several friends ask me to take pictures when their families come in town for the holidays, as was the case when Jen asked me to take her family’s pictures. Her parents, sister, brother-in-law and nephew were all in town from states far away and I was so happy to be able to capture their special time together. We headed to Furman for their portrait session and had a great time shooting around the gorgeous lake on campus. Thanks so much, Thompson family, for allowing me to be a part of your special holiday time together!
